Hélène Grimaud piano
Since 2015, the 88th day of every year has been designated the Day of the Piano – in homage to the instrument’s 88 keys. In 2023, this day is celebrated all over the world on March 29. Anyone who cannot wait until this feast day, however, can whet their appetite at the Philharmonie Luxembourg, which offers a selection of outstanding pianists: on March 5, Hélène Grimaud plays works by Bach, Beethoven and Schumann in a recital preceded by an introductory talk by Martin Möller in German at the Salle de Musique de Chambre at 6:15 pm. On March 20, Daniil Trifonov performs a Rachmaninov programme, forming a duo with his teacher Sergey Babayan.
