Anton Webern: Passacaglia op. 1
Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy: Violinkonzert
Edward Elgar: Enigma Variations

In his Enigma-Variations, Edward Elgar created thinly veiled portraits of persons close to him. This masterwork of musical late romanticism is performed together with Anton Webern’s first work, itself still a child of the late romantic style, and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s highly romantic Violin Concerto, featuring the young violinist Daniel Lozakovich. Ticket revenues from the concert by the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg under the baton of Kazuki Yamada will be donated to the Luxembourgish Croix-Rouge, which will use this funding for urgently needed relief for the suffering population in Ukraine.
