What better way to start a vacation than a family concert! On October 30, the Philharmonie opens its doors for an enchanting morning with the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg under the baton of Emilia Hoving. The first piece depicts the misadventures of the sorcerer’s apprentice whom Paul Dukas immortalized in music, who attained unimagined fame on the cinema screen thanks to a certain mouse with large ears. Then we pay a visit to Ottorino Respighi’s La Boutique fantasque – a ballet based on Gioacchino Rossini recounting the love story between two puppets in a toy store.
