In his new piano cycle Erinnerungsspuren, written for pianist Florian Hoelscher, Alberto Posadas turns the familiar creative process of remembering into a musical experience: our memory transforms our experience by allowing us to forget some parts and altering others. In each of his six pieces, Posadas follows the trace of one historical composer, creating his own journey through the history of piano music, from François Couperin to Bernd Alois Zimmermann.
