Were this a year like any other, the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg would traditionally conclude its season on the other side of the Red Bridge, on Kinnekswiss. This year, the summery atmosphere of the Kinnekswiss concert will instead infuse the Grand Auditorium. Without the meadow and picknick, perhaps, but with a light-hearted programme performed by the orchestra, its chief conductor Gustavo Gimeno and the Russian violinist Alena Baeva: a selection of short compositions often heard as encores. From Verdi via Saint-Saëns to Stravinsky, you are invited to a celebration of music in the middle of the Kirchberg!
Due to the current situation, we must ask you to show certification of your eligibility to attend via CovidCheck (QR code or certificate) for the concerts on July 1, 6, 8 and 9 at the Salle de Musique de Chambre and the Grand Auditorium. If you do not have CovidCheck certification, you may conduct a self-test on site, in accordance with current legal requirements. The concerts will take place without interval, and we cannot offer any gastronomy. Wearing a facemask throughout the entire Philharmonie (foyer and concert halls) is mandatory, including for the duration of the concert.
