The famous painter Pablo Pinceau has created a new masterwork: the portrait of a mysterious stranger. The vernissage is attended by all the great and good – but suddenly, the lights go out. When they come back, the painting is gone, a window is broken and the painter lies on the floor, unconscious. Fortunately, there is a detective among the guests, and the investigation is underway immediately. He cordons off the crime scene and prevents anyone from leaving the room, for it soon become clear that the threads must have been pulled by one of those present…
