Film: LʼÂge d'or (1930)
The film L’Âge d’or was such a scandal in 1930 that it was immediately banned in France and only reapproved for projection in 1981. Luis Buñuel and Salvador Dalí’s frontal artistic attack on the bourgeois values of their time has become the paragon of surrealist cinema, for which Martin Matalon in 2002 created an artful score with the quirky line up of six percussionists, piano and electronics.
