Ensemble Pamplemousse

Bryan Jacobs: Ly Full Hood Too for five players on trombone, car horns and percussion
David Broome: Trolls
Weston Olencki: chime array for touch-capacitive wind chimes, digital synthesis, human bodies, video and lights
Natacha Diels: The God-Fearing Woodsman
Andrew Greenwald: Hymn on a Bruce Hornsby Theme
Jessie Marino: re-mappings I

Refreshing, funny and unconventional – Ensemble Pamplemousse from New York has lately made a name for itself as one of the most original contemporary music groups. The composer-performance collective – all six members are simultaneously musicians and composers – with aesthetics between improvisation, performance and hyper-glitch-pop seems more like a band than a classical ensemble. In their concert «Prefab», the six North American artists present new pieces for classical as well as self-constructed robotic instruments, which were built just before the performance, at the Festival Musica in Strasbourg.
