Tolga Kashif: Queen Symphony

This special concert is organized by the Luxembourg Resuscitation Council (LRC) together with the Musique Militaire Grand-Ducale in celebration of the LRC’s 10th birthday to whom the proceeds of this concert will be donated. The LRC is a Luxemburgish organization to promote the instruction of resuscitation. Accompanied by the Musique Militaire Grand-Ducale, the Luxembourgish cellist Anna Origer will perform a new concerto by the well-known Dutch composer, Johan de Meij and as an additional highlight the Chœur de Chambre de Luxembourg will join the Musique Militaire Grand-Ducale to perform the monumental Queen Symphony by the British composer Tolga Kashif in an arrangement of Erik Somers. Composed in 2002, Tolga Kashif’s work pays tribute to the music of the rock legends Freddie Mercury, Brian May, Roger Taylor, and John Deacon – otherwise known as Queen. The composer transforms the most famous hits of this iconic rock group to create a moving and impressive symphonic tribute.

En collaboration avec Luxembourg Resuscitation Council a.s.b.l.
