The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra
The London Symphony Orchestra and Sir Simon Rattle offer two intriguing programmes: on September 21, together with mezzo-soprano Magdalena Kožená, they present a new song cycle of Czech composer Ondřej Adámek, interweaving Bible passages with Moravian folk melodies and Indian poetry. The rest of the programme is purely orchestral, exploring Stravinsky and Britten territory. The evening of September 22 is dedicated entirely to Bruckner’s Symphony No. 4 and its various versions. This work is also the subject of the pre-concert talk in German by Tatjana Mehner, beginning at 19:15 at the Espace Decouverte.
For this concert, all visitors aged six and up must show proof of eligibility to attend via CovidCheck. For further information, click here
