Blumenwiese 1-3
Saxophone, piano and drums – a perfectly normal setting in jazz – was a rare combination in classical music until three internationally renowned musicians founded the Trio Accanto in 1994. Ever since, the three virtuoso musicians have offered composers nearly unlimited possibilities, which will be explored in Luxembourg by composers Evan Johnson from the USA and Misato Mochizuki from Japan. In addition, Blumenwiese by Georg Friedrich Haas will be performed. Haas’s Konzert für Klangwerk und Orchester recently received its world premiere performed by the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, as one of the highlights of the rainy days festival.
