Ever since the Trio Catch won the audience’s heart in 2015, when it visited the Philharmonie during the Rising Star series, it has been taking one concert hall after another by storm. The young trio consisting of clarinet, cello and piano is known for its uncompromising approach and its appetite for new discoveries: in addition to classical works, the three musicians dedicate themselves enthusiastically to contemporary music. On March 15, they present a new piece by the young Spanish composer Irene Galindo Quero, alongside a new favourite, Isabel Mundry’s Trio. Surely the ensemble will have its usual fascinating effect on the audience – as it does during its aptly named concert series in Hamburg and Berlin: the title «Ohrenknacker» implies music so intriguing, your ears might break!
