Antonín Dvořák: Concerto pour violoncelle et orchestre en si mineur (h-moll)
Antonín Dvořák: Symphonie N° 7

On February 11, in mid-winter, a «great conductor from the far North» (Altamusica.com) takes the podium with the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg: the Finn Jukka-Pekka Saraste. Having led an entirely Russian programme in early January 2020, this time he opens perspectives on the rich and Mahlerian sonic world of Dmitri Shostakovich’s Fourth Symphony and Antonín Dvořák’s famous Cello Concerto, interpreted by the «archdeacon» (Le Temps) of the cello, the Norwegian Truls Mørk. This second work is also the subject of a lecture given by Heinz von Loesch in German at the Salle de Musique de Chambre at 7:15 pm.

This concert takes place under the CovidCheck 2G+ regulations (vaccinated or recovered) for visitors aged 19 and up, and under 3G+ regulations (vaccinated, recovered or tested negative) for visitors aged between 12 years and 2 months and 18 years. You must wear a facemask for your entire stay at the Philharmonie, including for the duration of the concert, if you are over the age of 6. For further information, click here
