Two of the most well-known and important chamber music compositions of the 20th century – György Ligeti’s Aventures and Nouvelles Aventures – have doubtlessly long found their place within the repertoire, far beyond the avant-garde scene. The concert by United Instruments of Lucilin juxtaposes these key compositions with two significantly younger works by the Japanese composer Yu Oda and the Ukrainian composer Anna Korsun. Thus, the spirit of discovery – in the most positive sense of the meaning – will flood the Salle de Musique de Chambre on Feb. 7, when the Luxembourgish New Music specialists embark upon new adventures and give old adventures a new lease on life.
