Three occasions that invite audiences to discover Luxembourg’s rich and multifaceted musical scene: the pianist Francesco Tristano, who is as much at home in classical works as he is in the field of electronic music, will be constructing a digital city on Bach’s Goldberg Variations, while the Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg will be appearing in two concerts under the direction of Gast Waltzing, at the first of which they will be accompanying the world premiere of White Fang, an animated film produced in Luxembourg, and in the second they will be performing with the Benin-born singer-guitarist Lionel Loueke.

1001 emotions are guaranteed by this subscription series, which invites you to discover the piano in all of its myriad facets. The nineteenth century’s king of instruments will appear alongside a symphony orchestra as well as feature as a solo instrument in some of the major works of German Romanticism. It will also be heard in Bartók’s original configuration for two pianos and in Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, a work that straddles the worlds of classical music and jazz. Here music is no longer celebrated only on June 21st.
