Youssou N‘Dour is often called the voice of Senegal; he has exported his eminently danceable music to stages around the globe. The singer, poet and composer appears at the Philharmonie for the very first time on Nov. 10, bringing the cultural dialogue he has been propagating for more than forty years live to Luxembourg. He fought for the liberation of Nelson Mandela, has championed various charitable organizations and was Senegal’s minister of culture for a short while in 2012. The musician is a shining example of the fact that talent and dogged persistence can open doors the world over.
