Home to the 90-year-old Luxembourg Philharmonic, the masterpiece created by the architect Christian de Portzamparc boasts a rich annual programme ranging from classical to jazz and world music, including a staple educational portfolio for young listeners and their families.

Project Manager Education (m/f/x)

Full-time permanent contract

The Philharmonie Luxembourg, one of the leading concert halls in Europe, opened in 2005 and presents around 400 concerts each year, encompassing a wide range of genres such as classical, jazz, and world music. In addition, the venue offers an extensive educational program of the highest quality tailored for young audiences and schools. The Philharmonie Luxembourg is responsible for the management of Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra.


Position

The Education department creates, produces, and promotes +/- 200 performances for young audiences per season, thematic festivals for young people as well as a diverse participation, learning and community music program.


The Project Manager Education will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Autonomously manage concert productions for young audiences. This includes tasks such as organizing and managing production logistics, planning travel and rehearsals, designing and administering contracts, communicating with artists, agencies, and partners, and overseeing events on performance days
  • Design and implement participatory music education projects, school initiatives and workshops
  • Collaborate closely with the head of the education department to support and contribute to various music education initiatives and agendas


Profile

  • Academic background or relevant qualifications in project management, arts management, music management, musicology, or music education
  • Prior experience in project management within the field of music education or the performing arts
  • Strong organizational skills, displaying a sense of responsibility and reliability, along with a positive and professional work approach
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Passionate about music education and highly motivated to contribute to the success of the educational program
  • Fluent command of at least two of the three following languages: German, French and English

Missions :

  • Vous êtes la première personne de contact pour toutes les requêtes émanant de la presse.
  • Vous développez et maintenez de manière active la couverture de la programmation artistique de l’Etablissement.
  • Vous assurez la diffusion de l’image positive de la Philharmonie et de l’Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg dans tous les médias ainsi qu’auprès de tous les acteurs externes.


Profil : 

  • Vous reconnaissez et diffusez avec créativité et esprit à travers la presse les histoires susceptibles d’éveiller la curiosité du public, tout en sachant vous adapter aux différents intérêts d’un public diversifié.
  • Vous faites preuve de rigueur et d’organisation, vous avez de l’expérience dans la gestion des priorités et disposez du tact nécessaire pour vous exprimer avec aisance dans un milieu multiculturel.
  • Vous pouvez tisser des liens avec des multiplicateurs ainsi que les entretenir et disposez d’excellentes qualités rédactionnelles en langues luxembourgeoise, allemande et française, l’anglais étant un atout.
  • Vous aimez le travail en équipe.
  • Vous disposez d’un esprit d’initiative et discrétion. Expérience dans une position similaire et bonne connaissance de la scène culturelle et musicale souhaitées.

Trainee - Stage technician (m/f/x)

3 Jahre gesetzlich anerkannte grenzüberschreitende Ausbildung: 

Der praktische Teil der Ausbildung erfolgt in der Philharmonie Luxembourg. Der theoretische Teil sowie die Prüfungen finden in Zusammenarbeit mit der Chambre des Métiers und der Industrie-und Handelskammer für Rheinhessen in Mainz statt (5x2 Wochen Blockunterricht pro Jahr).


Was du bei uns lernst: 

  • Licht, Ton, Projektion, Video, Spezialeffekte
  • Auf- und Abbau, Einrichtung und Bedienung von Beleuchtungs-, Projektions- und Beschallungsanlagen 
  • Sicherung, Transport und Lagerung von Geräten und Anlagen
  • Projektkoordination, Planung und Beratung
  • Durchführung von Veranstaltungen und Projekten


Was du mitbringen solltest: 

  • Prüfungszeugnis zur technischen und beruflichen Reife (DAP)
  • Gutes technisches Verständnis und handwerkliches Geschick
  • Allgemeines Interesse für Musik und neue Technologien
  • 18 Jahre und PKW Führerschein
