Welcher Komponist wäre dafür besser geeignet, als jener, dessen Geburtstag zum «Tag der finnischen Musik» erkoren wurde? 1915 komponierte Jean Sibelius seine dreisätzige Symphonie N° 5. Zum eleganten und zugleich traurigen Finalthema inspirierten ihn Schwäne, die einen See überquerten: «Heute sah ich 16 Schwäne. Einer der größten Augenblicke meines Lebens».
