Franz Schubert is said to have told his publisher regarding his Second Piano Trio. It is safe to say that with Rudolf Buchbinder, Hilary Hahn and Gautier Capuçon, there will be plenty of pleasure to be had at this concert featuring the composer’s piano trios, the second of which Robert Schumann described as «an angry meteor blazing forth and outshining everything in the musical atmosphere of the time.»
