From powerful sounds for two pianos to intimate chorales for four hands, Chiahu Lee reinvents Johann Sebastian Bach’s Cantatas and Inventions in her own arrangements. Together with Yulia Vershinina-Mukhopadhyay, she engages with the master of counterpoint – whose inventiveness seems inexhaustible – navigating the tension between intimacy, structure and contemporary sonic imagination.
