Frances Inzenhofer is a German-American double bassist currently based in Amsterdam and Luxembourg. A versatile and expressive musician, she is active across Europe as an orchestral and chamber performer. She is an academist at the Luxembourg Philharmonic, and frequently plays with the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonie Zuid, the Sønderjyllands Symfoniorkester, and the Deutsche Philharmonie Merck. She was also recently a trialist with the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra. A dedicated chamber and contemporary musician, she has performed at the Stift Festival (NL), the Wonderfeel Festival (NL), the Muziekfestival Grafenegg (AT), and with ensembles such as the Score Collective (Conservatorium van Amsterdam) and Ossia (Eastman School of Music). She is a founding member of the Laila Trio – a new ensemble combining soprano, piano, and double bass – which performs around the Netherlands, with upcoming concerts in Amsterdam. Frances Inzenhofer earned her master’s degree in Double Bass from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where she also completed a contract study year in Advanced Rhythm. She holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Double Bass Performance and Digital Media Studies from the Eastman School of Music and the University of Rochester, New York. She joined the Luxembourg Philharmonic Academy in September 2025.
