Paavo Järvi sat down with us for another episode of «the art of conducting», before his concert at the Philharmonie on 18.10.2019. The Estonian artist is the chief conductor of the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich and the NHK Symphony Orchestra and is the artistic director of Die Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen. He is also the founder and artistic director of the Pärnu Music Festival and the Estonian Festival Orchestra. He talked to us about seeing the conductor as a teacher, his family's insiders knowledge and the different ways of communicating with an orchestra.
