Narrative concert

Is there anyone who does not know the story of the siblings who get lost in the woods and ultimately outsmart the wicked witch who lives in a gingerbread house? Engelbert Humperdinck’s fairy-tale opera has no small part in the lasting fame of Hansel and Gretel, a stand-out among the Brothers Grimm’s fairy-tales. In a version for a young audience of our times, moderator Malte Arkona and the Luxembourg Philharmonic under John Warner dedicate themselves to the ancient, yet ever-fascinating story.
