Chronically Hopeful is a new interdisciplinary production

by Musici Ireland that plunges the audience into the brutal, complicated and often misunderstood reality of chronic illness, invisible disability and neurological disorder. Conceived and performed by a team of artists who live these experiences on a daily basis, the piece blends music, contemporary dance, poetry, and the visual dimension to create a deeply human, uncompromising, and often darkly amusing portrait of what it means to live in a «sick» body in today’s society.

Musici Ireland production developed with funding from the Arts Council of Ireland, Culture Ireland, with support from the Mermaid Arts Centre
Coproduction Philharmonie
