song

It’s not every day you get to welcome back an old friend.

Leopold Hager – who led the Luxembourg Philharmonic from 1980 to 1996 – returns to the podium at 90, just two seasons after his last appearance. It’s a reunion between the orchestra and its Honorary Conductor, yes – but also between Maestro Hager and you, the audience who followed him over the decades. With music by Richard Wagner and Anton Bruckner – two composers close to his heart – Leopold Hager brings us a bold, emotionally rich programme. Still challenging himself, still inspiring, and still very much at home.

The concert will be recorded by radio 100,7 and broadcast live.
