The artists

  • Anna Lapwood organ

She makes the organ go viral on social media

Anna Lapwood, described by Gramophone as an «imaginative, open-minded and brilliant musician, the dream ambassador for classical music», is breaking codes and barriers and dismantling the cliché that classical music is boring, that the organ is just a church instrument. Within a single concert, she moves effortlessly from her own arrangement of Pirates of the Caribbean to minimalist works, from Lord of the Rings to traditional organ repertoire. By removing genre boundaries, she reminds us that music is meant to be experienced as a world of emotions, not reduced to theoretical concepts.
