About «résonances»

All 16 quartets. Two world-class ensembles. One genius.

This season, the Belcea Quartet and Quatuor Ébène share the full cycle of Ludwig van Beethoven’s string quartets across six concerts, marking 200 years since his death. Four players, no conductor, nowhere to hide – just Beethoven at his most intimate, working out ideas that would reshape music forever. The journey starts here, moving from an early, witty conversation piece all the way to the extraordinary N° 14, which flows through seven sections without a single pause. If you’ve never heard a string quartet live, pull up a chair.
