The grand finale – six concerts, 16 quartets, one journey.

Over the course of this season, the Belcea Quartet and Quatuor Ébène trace Beethoven’s entire creative life through his string quartets – from the confident young composer making his name in Vienna to the visionary deaf genius pushing music into places nobody had been before. The Quatuor Ébène closes things out with three works that capture that whole arc in miniature: the Mozartean charm of N° 5, the restless drama of N° 4, and the boundary-breaking N° 12, where the late style truly begins.
