With her golden hair and silvery tone,

Janine Jansen is set to sparkle alongside her longtime recital partner, Denis Kozhukhin. The clean, fresh sounds of Ludwig van Beethoven’s Violin Sonata N˚ 3 are juxtaposed with the more mature lyricism of his Violin Sonata N˚ 10. As a child, Sergei Prokofiev used to listen to his mother playing Beethoven on the piano. Much of Prokofiev’s music harks back to earlier periods, and Sonata for Violin and Piano N˚ 1 was inspired by the Baroque era – a mix of old and new.
