the hallmarks of Rhiannon Giddens, named by NPR as one of the 25 most influential women musicians of the 21st century. Now based in Ireland, the US-born artist explores through music the twists and turns of her homeland’s history, notably as Artistic Director of the Silkroad Ensemble, and in 2023 received the Pulitzer Prize for an opera for which she wrote both the score and the libretto.
