After his celebrated 2017 debut at the Philharmonie, Benjamin Clementine is back on stage at the Grand Auditorium on 29.09. Having foregone live or recorded performances for five years but taken his first steps in Hollywood in the meantime, he returns to delight us once more with his «still-startling voice, an elastic tenor capable of shock and awe as well as succour» (The Guardian). The artist, whose role models include Léo Ferré, Nina Simone and Erik Satie, is an elegant performer, but still resists calling himself a professional musician. We will let his music speak for him: charismatic and humble, timeless and yet also incredibly timely. The young man who used to busk in the Paris subway for rushed passers-by has now become a destination in and of himself.
