Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart composed his piano trios in response

to the growing popularity of the fortepiano in Viennese society. In the first of his mature trios, KV 496, he grants the two string instruments a hitherto unheard-of independence. The Trio Debussy will be performing the work in this last «Face-à-Face» concert of the season, with a commentary in German by the host, Claus-Christian Schuster.
