What does the piano sound like with a French touch?

A refined expression, rich colours and nuances, an elegant simplicity… For her first concert as Artist in focus, Italian virtuoso Beatrice Rana explores the French influence on piano music. The dances from Johann Sebastian Bach’s French Suite transport you to the court of Versailles, whilst the first book of Claude Debussy’s Études embodies the French piano tradition. The latter are dedicated to the memory of Franco-Polish composer Frédéric Chopin, and the evening will end with a few of his works composed in Paris.
