Interactive Concert with Afro-Caribbean Rhythms
It is late and the air is crisp. Vernon, Lidrick, and Angelo hear the waves and close their eyes. Djumbala, Djumbala… that sounds like music! They tap, drum, and even whistle on everything around them. Together with the waves, they create beautiful music. Vernon Chatlein’s compositions draw on Muzik di Zumbi and Tambu, characterised by instruments made from natural materials, vocal rhythms and sound imitations. This warm, expressive musical world invites listeners to participate and truly listen.
