Pipes. Pedals. Pirouettes!
One might say that watching an organist play their instrument is a bit like watching someone dancing – arms and legs flying everywhere, with all those buttons and foot pedals! Our resident organist Maurice Clement will hypnotise you with the repetitive pulsations of Philip Glass’ Dance N° 4 for organ. The slow, stately Saraband by Georg Friedrich Händel contrasts with Manuel de Falla's fiery ritual dance. And a piece by the performer himself will bring the unexpected in the form of an improvised tribal dance!
