What you'll hear and see
The artists
- Nduduzo Makhathini piano
- Zwelakhe-Duma Bell Le Père double bass
- Francisco Mela drums
The first South African artist to sign to the Blue Note label,
Nduduzo Makhathini claims to have been influenced by McCoy Tyner and by his fellow countryman Abdullah Ibrahim. But he does not hesitate to break away from these influences to offer his own highly personal style, drawing on the cultural and historical roots of his native country. Fascinated by rituals, the pianist transforms each of his concerts into a musical and spiritual dialogue open to the world.Tickets
