«The senses reign, and reason is dead.»

This rather intriguing quote by the great poet Petrarca sets the tone for La Morte della Ragione, a unique project that will take from the late Middle Ages to the dawn of the Baroque era. Conceptualised by the italian conductor Giovanni Antonini for his ensemble Il Gardino Armonico, this musical journey will show you how ebullient, enlightened and, indeed, truly enlightened the Renaissance was. Where music plays and the senses awaken, one can let go and just drift (or dream) away…
