Yukari Miyazawa

Yukari Miyazawa began playing the violin at the age of three. At around 11 years old, she started participating in competitions in Japan, winning numerous prizes, including 2nd Prize at the Tateshina International Music Competition and 3rd Prize at the All Japan Junior Classical Music Competition. She went on to receive further awards, such as a Special Prize at the Kobe International Competition, 3rd Prize at the Yokohama International Music Competition, and 2nd Prize at the K Unlimited international competition. At the age of fifteen, she entered the Music High School attached to Tokyo University of the Arts, and then went on to study at Tokyo University of the Arts itself. She later enrolled in the master’s programme at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Lyon, and is currently studying in the Artist Diploma (Violon tutti) programme at the same institution. Since 2024, she has been performing with the Orchestre National de Lyon as an extra musician, gaining valuable orchestral experience. Her principal teachers include Asako Yoshikawa, Asako Urushibara, Seiji Kageyama, and Jennifer Gilbert. She joined the Luxembourg Philharmonic Academy in September 2025.
