The Festival rainy days presents «Heat!»

November will be hot! At least where rainy days, the Philharmonie’s festival of contemporary music, is concerned. Headlining another multi-faceted, open-minded programme, festival curator Catherine Kontz has chosen «Heat» as the theme of this year’s programming, turning up the temperature in all the Philharmonie’s spaces. As always, a deliberate game of associations is a given when curating a diverse programme for the entire family. New Music fans are just as much the target audience as people who have never encountered contemporary sounds: from the tangible heat of summer or a sauna to the tackling of «hot» topics, and of course anything that refers to energy or energies… And the 2026 edition of rainy days is not confined to the pillared «safe space» of the concert hall, but seeks out dialogue with other institutions – this time, the Théâtre National and the Casino Luxembourg – Forum d’art contemporain, which is celebrating its 30th birthday.

There are also two exhibitions to discover at Mudam Luxembourg – Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean: FOR EVER by Christine Sun Kim and A câmera é o corpo (The Camera is the Body) by Ana Vaz.

Festival Pass (4 days)

Day pass: 19.11. / 20.11. / 21.11. / 22.11.

The passes entitle holders to attend all the events on the days indicated on the pass (with the exception of the performance at the Théâtre National) and – also on the specified date – the exhibitions at the Mudam. They must be shown on entry. Free seating (depending on venue capacities).

Throwback to rainy days 2025

54 events, 49 concerts, 5 installations. The 2025 rainy days festival turned the Philharmonie, Mudam and the Grand Théâtre into one vast, breathing organism. Bodies vibrating, bodies resisting, bodies becoming sound itself. Huge thanks to all musicians, artists, performers and composers who gave this edition its pulse.
